On March 8th, BAP Organization had the pleasure of welcoming 40 students and their teachers from Tumaini Senior Secondary School to its test center in Leganga, Arusha. The visit was part of BAP’s ongoing commitment to providing free agricultural education to Tanzanians, focusing on Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) and the introduction of hybrid seeds.
During the training, students gained valuable hands-on experience in seed selection, nursery and land preparation, pest and disease management, agricultural inputs, environmental conservation, water resource management, and organic farming. The session was led by Geofrey (Station Manager), Dorcas (Agronomist), Mkwizu (Field Supervisor), and Best (Intern/Part-time Agronomist), who guided the students through practical demonstrations and discussions.
The school management expressed their gratitude to the BAP station team for this enriching experience. It was a memorable and impactful day, reinforcing BAP's mission to empower future generations with agricultural knowledge.
